i remember someone here was wondering how this one would be. i got a copy last week, listened to it for the first time last night and it is not that bad. they haven't changed their sound or lost their edge like Good Charlotte have. If you already like Simple Plan you will like this. If you are a casual listener you might enjoy it the first time thru but it does start to sound repetitive. if you don't like Simple Plan chances are you will not like them after listening to their new one. maybe it will grow on me more but i don't hear any songs as good or as catchy as say I'd Do Anything or I'm Just A Kid. still, a decent cd.

Hey Bill, It was moi askin' about the new Simple Plan CD, thanx for the insight btw always helpful! I got my hands on their latest release a couple of days ago and I gotta say I really like it and agree with what you have already stated, a good spin f'sure and MUCH!!! stronger than G/C's latest offering, that has signed itself a place at the back of my cupboard what a let down that was.
I think the Simple Plan CD has lost it's 'FUN' edge a little, hence the lack of 'I'm Just A Kid/I'd Do Anything, maybe because the guys are obviously growin' both musically and in years but a goody if your a fan.

This is a GREAT cd...I enjoyed it completely. Very good stuff. Maybe not quite as great as the first one, but you can't beat perfection, and that's what the first one was. This is a worthy purchase for sure...

Even though I'm 31, as a general rule, if someone says "all the kids love it", it's probably something I'm going to like...I'm going to go check them out now! Thanks!

They are virtually unknown in the U.S.

If you liked the 1st Simple Plan, I would recommend BUSTED. Exact same type of Fun Power Pop like the first SP. 3 young guys from England I believe. I'm not sure how big they are over there, I saw them on MTV2 "Thats Why I go to School" vid here in the US and picked up the cd. Not bad stuff.

Just listened to the BUSTED Cd again. "Teenage Kicks" is the glammest sounding song I have heard in a long time. Sugary Power Pop all over this cd. Sandi, let me know what you think

Teenage Kicks was John Peel's all-time favourite tune. Busted are gonna be performing it as a tribute to him at upcoming events.

Busted are nothing more then a boy band ala backstreet boys, n'synch and such. the only difference is the target audience (pre-teens girls) like the good charlotte punk/pop now instead of britny spears dance.
be this good or bad, i am not one to say. to each their own.
if you like Simple Plan you should check out the Riddlin' Kids new one Stop The World. awesome cd. their first one Hurry Up and Wait is solid as well.
